Widgify — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Widgify (the "App", package id com.zentryx.widgify), developed and published by Zentryx ("we", "us", "our"), handles your information on Android and iOS. It applies only to Widgify; our other products and website are covered by the Zentryx general Privacy Policy.

1. Summary

Widgify stores your widget designs locally on your device. If you add a weather or prayer-time element, the app sends only the coordinates or city needed to fetch that forecast — no identity, no account, no tracking.

2. Information the App handles

• Widget designs & preferences (on-device only): Your widget layouts, templates, and theme settings, stored locally.
• Coordinates / city for weather & prayer elements: Sent to OpenWeatherMap (weather) or Aladhan (prayer times) only to fetch the data the widget displays. No identifier or account is attached to these requests.
• Calendar events (on-device only): Read only if you add a calendar element, to render upcoming events inside your widget. Events are never transmitted.

2.1 What we do not collect

• No account, name, email, or phone number is collected.
• No analytics, ads, or tracking SDKs are embedded.
• Calendar contents never leave your device.
• We do not sell personal data.

3. Permissions the App requests — and why

Widgify requests only the permissions needed for the features you use. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings; the related feature simply stops working.

• Calendar (read, optional) — Only if you add a calendar element to a widget — to display your upcoming events on-device.
• Internet — Fetches weather and prayer-time data for widgets that use those elements, and resolves shared widget links.

4. Third-party services

The App relies on the following third-party services:

• OpenWeatherMap — Provides weather forecasts for weather widget elements. Privacy policy.
• Aladhan API — Provides prayer times for prayer widget elements. Privacy policy.
• Google Play services — App distribution, updates, and aggregate crash/ANR reports provided by the Google Play Store. Privacy policy.

5. Where your data is stored

Widget designs, templates, and settings are stored locally on your device. Sharing a design generates a link that encodes the design itself — no personal data is included.

6. Data retention & deletion

Delete widgets and templates inside the app, or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data immediately.

7. Security

We follow privacy-by-design principles: data minimisation, on-device processing wherever possible, encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) for any network feature, and regular dependency patching. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but the most effective safeguard in Widgify is structural — we simply do not collect what we do not need.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
