KametiBook — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how KametiBook (the "App", package id com.kametibook), developed and published by Zentryx ("we", "us", "our"), handles your information on Android and iOS. It applies only to KametiBook; our other products and website are covered by the Zentryx general Privacy Policy.

1. Summary

KametiBook keeps your entire committee register — members, their phone numbers and optional ID, installments, and payouts — encrypted on your own device. There is no account and no server, so member details never leave your phone except when you choose to send a reminder or receipt. The app has no ads, analytics, or tracking.

2. Information the App handles

• Committee & member data you create (on-device, encrypted): Committee settings, members (name, phone number, optional photo, and optional CNIC/ID number), shares, installment payments, late fees, draw results, and the organiser name/phone you put on receipts. Stored in an on-device store encrypted at rest (AES via MMKV); shared only when you explicitly send a reminder or export a receipt.
• Contacts you choose to import (optional): If you grant contacts access, you can pick a contact to fill a new member’s name and phone number. Contacts are read on your device only to fill that field — your address book is not uploaded, synced, or stored.

2.1 What we do not collect

• No account or sign-up — we collect no identity data on a server.
• No analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs are embedded.
• Your contacts are never uploaded or stored beyond the member you add.
• Committee and member data is never transmitted to Zentryx; there is no backend.
• We do not sell personal data.

3. Permissions the App requests — and why

KametiBook requests only the permissions needed for the features you use. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings; the related feature simply stops working.

• Contacts (optional) — Only if you choose to add a member from your contacts, to fill their name and phone number. Read on-device; your address book is not uploaded.
• Notifications — Upcoming and overdue installment reminders you schedule.
• Exact alarms — So payment reminders fire on time even when the device is idle.
• Biometric / fingerprint (optional) — To lock the app if you enable app lock. Biometrics never leave the secure hardware.
• Internet — Used only to open WhatsApp share links. Your committee data is not transmitted.

4. Third-party services

The App relies on the following third-party services:

• Google Play services — App distribution, updates, and aggregate crash/ANR reports provided by the Google Play Store. Privacy policy.

5. Where your data is stored

All data is stored locally on your device in an AES-encrypted key-value store (MMKV). Zentryx operates no backend for this app and cannot access your committees or members.

6. Data retention & deletion

Use “Clear all data” in Settings to permanently wipe every committee, member, and payment, or uninstall the app — both remove all locally stored data immediately. There is no server-side copy.

7. Security

We follow privacy-by-design principles: data minimisation, on-device processing wherever possible, encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) for any network feature, and regular dependency patching. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but the most effective safeguard in KametiBook is structural — we simply do not collect what we do not need.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
